Rio Wrap-Up

Thanks to everybody that joined us in Rio de Janeiro for the Circumvention Tech Summit. We hosted over 70 people for two days of intense workshops and design sessions. Everybody met everybody, and a lot of information was shared. More importantly, we all left with specific plans for further work, and I am excited to help realize those plans.

My followups include getting a wiki and a mailing list together. I will do that this weekend. Also, I promised a write-up and photos. Kat Green is working on those and we will publish them as soon as they are available.

Special thanks are due to Karl Fogel, Kat Green, Brian Duggan, Joseph Steele, and Eric LoVecchio. They kept the balls in the air and helped ensure the event was worthwhile for all the participants. And also, a big thanks to whoever hacked hotel security to get into my room and leave me a present. I got a big kick out of it.

If you missed the Circumvention Tech Summit, don't worry. We'll do another in the fall. And also a more proper hackfest in New York, right before HOPE. Stay tuned for details.
